Pension
The National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) is a centrally sponsored welfare programme of Ministry of Rural Development for old age, disabled and widow. This progrmme is being administered in UT Ladakh by Socia Welfare Department.
Components of NSAP
Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension (IGNOAPS)
Objective: To provide financial assistance to elderly people.
Eligibility:
- The applicant should belong to BPL Household.
- Age 60 years and above.
Required Documents:
- A passport size photograph.
- Aadhar Card.
- BPL ration card
- Account Number with IFSC Code
Incentive: Rs. 1000/- per month
Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS)
Objective: To provide financial assistance to widows.
Eligibility:
- The applicant should belong to BPL Household.
- widows in the age group of 40 years and above
Required Documents:
- A passport size photograph.
- Aadhar Card.
- BPL ration card
- Widow certificate
- Account Number with IFSC Code
Incentive: Rs. 1000/- p.m
Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS)
Objective: To provide financial assistance to Person with severe Disability
Eligibility:
- The applicant should belong to BPL Household.
- The applicant is in the age group of 18 years and above
- The percentage of disability is 80% or above
Required Documents:
- A passport size photograph.
- Aadhar Card.
- BPL ration card
- UDID certificate with 80% or above
- Account Number with IFSC Code
Incentive: Rs. 1000/- p.m
National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS)
Objective: To ensure social security of the households living below poverty line. Under this scheme one-time lump sum cash assistance is provided to the families living below poverty line on the death of the primary bread-earner.
Eligibility:
- The applicant should belong to BPL Household.
- The deceased bread earner should be in the age group of 18-60 year
Required Documents:
- A passport size photograph.
- Age proof of the deceased
- BPL ration card
- Death certificate
Incentive: Rs. 20,000/- one time
Integrated Social Security Schemes (ISSS)
Old Aged Person (OAP)
Objective: Financial support in the form of pension is offered to elderly individuals who lack a stable source of income.
Eligibility:
- The applicant should belong to BPL Household.
- Age 60 years and above in case of male 55 years and above in case of female.
Required Documents:
- A passport size photograph.
- Aadhar Card.
- BPL ration card
- Account Number with IFSC Code
Women in Distress
Objective: financial support to Women in distress, including separated, divorced or widow are provided financial support in the form of monthly pension.
Eligibility:
- The applicant should belong to BPL Household.
- The applicant should be aged between 40 years and above
Required Documents:
- Two passport size photographs.
- Aadhar Card.
- BPL ration card
- Widow/divorcee/separated certificate
- Account Number with IFSC Code
Incentive: Rs. 1000/- p.m
Physically Challenged Person (PCP)
Objective: The pension is provided to persons disability and having no source of income.
Eligibility:
- The applicant should belong to BPL Household.
- The percentage of disability is 40% or above
Required Documents:
- A passport size photograph.
- Aadhar Card.
- BPL ration card
- UDID certificate with disability of 40% or above
- Account Number with IFSC Code
