Under this Scheme, marriageable poor girls will receive one-time financial assistance of Rs.50,000/- and in case of poor girls having minimum disability percentage of 40%, the one-time financial assistance is Rs. 1,00,000/-
Criteria
The prospective beneficiary girl: -
- Should belong to AAY (Antodaya Anna Yojana) or PHH (Priority House Hold) ration card holder family; and should have attained the legal age of marriage i.e., 18 years and the prospective groom should also have attained 21 years;
- In case Bride/Groom or both are person with benchmark disability (Divyangjan) as defined in “ The Rights of Person with Disabilties Act, 2016” the amount of financial assistance shall be Rs. 1,00,000/-
- Should be a permanent resident of Ladakh. In absence of proof of permanent residence of the female, proof of permanent residence of her parents should be submitted;
- Can avail benefit only once under the scheme.
- That she is un-married as on date.
